We know your needs can change—so it’s helpful to understand what switching looks like with Marshmallow Go.
Switching from Go to a regular plan
You can switch from a Marshmallow Go plan to the standard version of the same cover level (e.g. Go Essential → Essential) at any time.
Your cover stays the same
Your price may change slightly
Once you leave Go, you won’t be able to switch back until your next renewal
Note: If you’re on Go Plus, switching isn’t available. This plan is technically bundled in a way that means it can’t be changed mid-policy.
Switching from a regular plan to Marshmallow Go
You can switch from a standard plan to Marshmallow Go—if you're eligible and ready to share your driving data through the Marshmallow app.
Here’s what you’ll need:
A compatible phone with tracking permissions enabled
Willingness to meet the 4-week driving data rule (see our article on how this works)
If you're on Marshmallow Plus, you won’t be able to switch to Go or Go Plus due to technical setup differences between these plans.
Switching at renewal
When your policy is due for renewal, you’ll have the option to continue with Go, move to a regular plan, or explore other cover levels—depending on your eligibility and preferences.
