What happens if I don’t meet the tracking requirement on Marshmallow Go?

This article is for Marshmallow Go customers who want to understand what happens if they don’t meet the minimum tracking requirement.

Updated over a week ago

To stay on Marshmallow Go, there’s just one thing you need to do: share enough driving data with us during your policy.

What if I don’t meet the requirement?

If you haven’t shared enough data by the 6-month mark, you’ll be moved off the Go plan automatically. Here’s what that means:

  • You’ll be moved to the standard version of your current cover (e.g. Go Essential → Essential)

  • Your monthly price may increase slightly—around 3%

  • You won’t be able to return to Marshmallow Go until your next renewal

We’ll let you know before this change happens and confirm it afterward too.

How to avoid this

To stay on Marshmallow Go and keep your discount:

  • Make sure location and motion permissions are enabled for the app

  • Keep your phone charged and nearby when you drive

  • Aim to complete at least one drive each week with tracking on

It’s an easy way to keep your price down and show us how you drive—without changing anything else about your cover.
