Why it’s important to update your date of birth

The date of birth listed on your policy helps make sure your insurance details are correct and your cover is valid. If the date of birth for you or any additional driver is wrong, it’s important to get it corrected as soon as possible.


Can I update my date of birth in the app?

No — date of birth changes can’t be made directly in the Marshmallow app. Some updates, like this one, need to be handled by our team to make sure all details are accurate.


How to request a date of birth update

To change the date of birth on your policy you will need to speak with our customer support team.

  • Let us know which driver’s date of birth needs to be corrected and our team will guide you through the next steps and make the update for you.


What happens after the change

  • We’ll update your policy so the date of birth is accurate.

  • Your updated policy documents will appear in your Marshmallow app once the change is complete.

  • In some cases, the change may affect the price of your insurance. If this happens, we’ll let you know before anything is finalised.
