Why haven’t I received confirmation of my new policy?

This article is for customers who have purchased a quote for a new Marshmallow policy but have not yet received confirmation.

You will not receive confirmation of your new policy until your ID check is completed.


Why you haven’t received confirmation yet

  • Your ID check must be completed before your policy is officially created.

  • Until then, your payment will only appear as pending in your bank account. Marshmallow does not take the payment until your ID check is successful.


How to complete your ID check

The way you complete your ID check depends on whether you are a new customer or already have (or had) another policy with Marshmallow.

If this is your first Marshmallow policy

  • Open the Marshmallow app.

  • Log in with the phone number you used when getting your quote.

  • Tap “Verify now” to complete your ID check.

If you currently have, or previously had, another Marshmallow policy

  • Go to the Marshmallow website.

  • Log in with the email address you used when getting your quote.

  • Click “Verify now” to complete your ID check.

  • If you see a pop-up asking you to download the app, you can ignore this by pressing the X in the top-right corner.


When you’ll receive confirmation

  • Once your ID check is complete and successful, your policy will be created.

  • You’ll then receive confirmation and your payment will be processed.
