Update your address, vehicle, or drivers easily in the Marshmallow app—or speak to us for other changes.

How to update your policy in the Marshmallow app

Follow these steps to make changes:

  1. Open the Marshmallow app.

  2. Tap on your current policy.

  3. Tap Update details at the top of the screen.

  4. Find the detail you want to update and tap Edit.

  5. Confirm your changes.

Tip: If you don’t see your changes straight away, try logging out and back into the app.


What can I change in the app?

You can update the following:

  • Your vehicle

  • Your address

  • Add or remove a driver

  • Your expected mileage and usage

  • Your phone number

  • Your registration plate

You cannot update the following in the app:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your licence type

  • Your job

  • Any car modifications

  • Claims or convictions

  • Health issues affecting driving

  • Your policy excess

Can I schedule a change for a future date?

Yes—if you're changing your vehicle, you can choose a future date in the app. For scheduling changes at a specific time of day, speak to our support team.


Will I be charged to make a change?

That depends on your policy type:

Note: Your premium may go up or down depending on the change you make.


What if I can’t make a change in the app?

You may be blocked from making changes if:

  • You have an open claim on your account.

  • You’ve exceeded certain change limits (e.g. more than 3 vehicle changes).

If you can’t make a change in the app, contact our support team and we’ll help you manually.
