How do I change my policy details?

In this article you can find out how to change your policy details in the Marshmallow app and what fees you may incur.

If you need to update your policy details as a Marshmallow customer, follow these steps in the app:

  1. Tap on your policy

  2. At the top of the screen, tap Update details

  3. Find the information you want to update and tap Edit

Your new policy documents will be updated shortly after you make changes. If you don't see the updates immediately, please be patient as it might take some time.

Try logging out and back into the app if updates are not visible right away.

Examples of changes you can and cannot make in the app

In the Marshmallow app you can change the following details in the app:

  • Your vehicle

  • Your address

  • Add or remove a driver

  • Your expected mileage and usage

  • Your phone number

  • Your registration plate

You cannot change the following details in the app though:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your licence type

  • Your job

  • Any modifications to your car

  • Claims and convictions

  • Any health issues that might impact your driving

If you need to make one of the above changes, you need to speak to a member of our team.

Admin fee and premium changes

‍If you have a Marshmallow Lightest or Essential policy, you may be charged a £25 admin fee to make a change to your policy.

Any changes made to your policy will mean your premium will be re-calculated to take these changes into account. This can make the price of your policy go up or down.
