We understand you may encounter difficulties obtaining proof of your No Claims Discount (NCD) or No Claims Bonus (NCB). Here's what to do based on your situation:
Unable to get proof of NCD:
If you're unable to provide proof of your NCD, we may need to remove your discount, which could increase your premium. We'll notify you by email before making any payment or premium changes.
If you obtain proof later, we can review and potentially decrease your premium accordingly. You'll need to get in touch with us to do this.
If you have provided proof of more NCD years and need to increase the No Claims Discount on your policy, please get in touch with a member of the team so we can update this for you.
Note for Marshmallow Lightest or Essential customers:
There is a £25 admin fee for making this change.
Proving NCD if your previous policy hasn't ended:
If your previous policy is still active and you need more time to obtain your NCD proof, please contact our customer support team.
Trouble uploading your NCD document:
If you're having trouble uploading your No Claims Discount document within the app, it might be due to its formatting. Typically, NCD proof from your previous insurer may come in standard email format without a .pdf attachment. At Marshmallow, we require documents in .pdf format for validation.
