What if I’ve just moved and don’t have proof at my new address?

This article is for customers who have recently moved and are waiting for documents in their name.

Updated over a week ago

Moving house can be hectic, and we understand it might take time for new bills or letters to arrive. If you’ve recently moved, here’s what you can do.

Use a document from your previous address (if still recent)

If you have a document from your last address, dated within the past 90 days, and it’s still valid, you can send that.

Use temporary documents

If you’ve updated your new address with any official organisations, you might already have acceptable documents. Look out for:

  • A recent payslip with your new address

  • A letter from HMRC

  • A tenancy agreement that includes your name and start date

If you're waiting for these to arrive, let us know. We can give you extra time to update your address and resend the documents.
