How do I prove my No Claims Discount (NCD)?

This article is for Marshmallow policyholders who need to submit proof of their No Claims Discount (NCD).

Your No Claims Discount (NCD) is a reward for safe driving. It reflects the number of years you've held a policy without making a claim. At Marshmallow, we use this to offer you a lower price on your insurance.

What types of NCD do Marshmallow accept?

We accept:

  • NCD earned from driving cars or vans

  • NCD earned as a named driver, if it can be proven

  • Company car NCD, if you're the sole driver and it's verified by your employer

  • International NCD, as long as it's not expired (no more than 3 years since last use)

  • Combined NCD from multiple insurers, as long as there’s no 3+ year gap between them

We do not accept:

  • NCD for motorcycles, fleet vehicles, or learner driver policies

  • Taxi, Hire & Reward, or Motor Trade NCD

  • Motor proposal confirmations

  • Driving licence summaries

We allow up to 25 years of NCD to be applied to a policy.

How do I upload my No Claims Discount documents?

You can upload your No Claims Discount (NCD) proof in the Marshmallow app:

  1. Tap your policy on the home screen

  2. Tap Documents

  3. Select Upload a document

  4. Follow the on-screen steps

Once uploaded, our team will review the document and be in contact if anything else needed.
