We require customers to have a permanent address in order to take out a policy. A permanent residence is defined by a minimum 6 month tenancy agreement. There are, however, some exceptions where temporary residency is acceptable.

For those who have just arrived in the UK

It's understandable that customers who have just moved to the UK might not have a permanent address organised upon arrival. Therefore, we can allow customers to be on cover with a temporary address (such as an airbnb) if their 'time in the UK' is zero years. In this case, it’s perfectly fine to provide proof of your temporary address, and we’ll need your permanent proof of address once you’re settled.

For those who have not just arrived in the UK

If you are living in a temporary address in a transition period (ie. you have moved house to an airbnb for a month until you move into your new home) then this is fine as long as we have proof of your forward dated address. We will need to make sure we quote you the correct price for your new address.

For those with occupational reasons

Any residence which is applicable for a customer to do their job is fine. Examples of these include hospital accommodation, school premises, uni accommodation etc.
