What is Marshmallow Plus?

Marshmallow Plus is our most comprehensive motor insurance plan. It offers all the cover from our other plans—Lightest, Essential, and Original—plus valuable add-ons bundled in, giving you extra peace of mind on the road.


What does Marshmallow Plus cover?

Marshmallow Plus is a comprehensive policy. This means it covers:

Covers repairs for damage to your car from accidents

Theft or attempted theft

Protection if your car is stolen or someone tries to steal it

Fire damage

Covers fire-related damage to your vehicle

Malicious damage or vandalism

Includes damage caused deliberately by others

Personal accident cover

Up to £25,000 for injuries resulting from an accident

Medical expenses

Up to £200 per person injured while in the insured vehicle

Glass repair/replacement

Unlimited cover if you use our approved repair network

Personal belongings

Up to £250 for items damaged or stolen from your vehicle

Audio and communications equipment

Covered if the equipment was fitted by the manufacturer

Third-party liability

Covers injury to others and damage to their property in an accident

Are there any exclusions or limits?

Yes, here are some of the key exclusions and restrictions:

  • No cover if:

    • You leave keys inside the car and it’s stolen

    • You drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs

    • You use the wrong fuel (mis-fuelling)

    • The car is SORN registered or lacks a valid MOT (if required)

    • You engage in racing or track driving

  • Policy excess applies to claims. The amount will be listed in your Policy Schedule.

  • Glass repairs done outside our approved network are limited to £115–£150.


Can I use Marshmallow Plus in Europe?

Yes, you are covered to drive in countries within the EU and other countries following Directive 2009/103/EC. However:

  • The standard cover is third-party only

  • You can upgrade to full comprehensive cover by speaking with our customer support team

  • Driving abroad is limited to 90 days per policy year for Plus customers


Can I make changes or cancel my policy?

  • Policy changes: Mid-term updates are free of charge (for Marshmallow Original).

  • Cancellations: You’ll be charged a £30 fee if you cancel within 14 days. Additional cancellation fees may apply after this period—check your Policy Wording for details.
