If you have a Marshmallow Go policy, it’s fine to use maps or music - as long as you set them up before you start driving.
This is because one of the things we measure is Focus: how often you handle your phone while driving.
Any handling of your phone during a drive (by you or your passengers) will lower your Focus score. This will also bring down your average driving score.
This means that if you handle your phone to use maps or music apps while driving, your driving score will be lower.
We suggest using your phone’s hands-free feature if possible. And we’d always recommend a hands-off policy for your passengers while you’re driving, too.
