Congratulations on taking a big leap in the direction of better organisation for  your school by signing up to Martialytics!

Once you have signed up for your free 30-day trial, you will be presented with the School Settings page.

School Name

Firstly, you will need to give your school a name which will be displayed in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

Account Information

Update account information including your name, login email and password.

Locations

Set up your locations (as many as you like!).

The Location Nickname is essential as this is how the location is referenced throughout the software, in places like reports and student profiles. We recommend using the name of the town or suburb where the venue is located.

Styles and Ranks

Styles and Ranks represent the class structure of your school. Think of a Style as being a class and a Rank as being a point in the hierarchy of that Style.

Start by naming the Style. In our example we are calling it ‘Adult Kung Fu’.

Then you can go ahead and add the Ranks relevant to this style.

Martialytics will automatically assign a colour to the Rank based to the name you have added. To choose your own colours, click on the coloured tile next to each Rank.

If your Style has stripes or different coloured belts for half belts, you can add these as well and either use the base rank colour or adjust it to be a slightly different shade - be sure to use the description field to give it the correct name (i.e. ‘White Belt 1 Stripe’).

To rearrange the order, drag and drop the selected Rank where you want it to go.

Martialytics uses a 'traffic light' style system to show what stage the student is at in grading. Students not ready to grade show up in red, almost ready to grade show up in orange or ready to grade in green.

The '1st' Rank represents the starting point for the Style (i.e. White Belt) and what is assigned to a student when they sign up. Beside the Rank you can add the participation requirements they need to undergo within this Rank to be eligible to move up to the next one.

For example, a White Belt student must attend 5 classes AND for 30 days before they are eligible to get their White Belt 1 Stripe.

You can select 'AND' or 'OR' for the drop-down menu to fit with the methods of your school.

Click on Save Styles and Ranks. Repeat this process until you have set up all your Styles.

You don’t have to add Ranks. For example, if you offer personal training sessions, you can add ‘Personal Training’ as a Style, leaving the Rank information blank. Students assigned this Style would then be participants of it.

You’re ready to go…

At this stage the Get Started button in the top left will be flashing, meaning that you have completed the minimum required fields to start adding students and get your account up and running. Click Get Started to go to your Dashboard.
