Select whether you want to create a Recurring Class or One-Off Event. Recurring Classes are classes that your school runs on a schedule every week, e.g. Junior Karate every Monday and Thursday from 6-7 pm. One-Off Events are for things like workshops or grading days.

Next you will need to name your class/event, complete the form fields and select your publishing options. The Publishing Options determine where the class will be made available to book.

Widget & Portal: Class/event can be booked via the Website Widget and the Student Portal.

  • Recurring Classes: When a price is added, the option to pay will only be shown when booking using the Website Widget. The system presumes that any students booking via Student Portal will already have billing assigned to them.

  • One Off Events: Any pricing added for events will be displayed in both the Website Widget and the Student Portal, and those booking will need to pay the fee to book.

Widget Only: Class/event can only be booked via the Website Widget. This option is great if you run classes that are only for trial students or first time attenders.

Portal Only: Class/event can only be booked via the Student Portal. We recommend using this option when you want only existing students to be able to book.

Invite Only: Class/event will only be visible in the admin calendar, and students will need to be sent an email invitation to book in.

The Start Date and End Dates are optional fields. If you specify dates, the class will be scheduled in the calendar indefinitely. You can change this at anytime by clicking Edit on the calendar event.

Once you have completed all the fields, click Save Class.

By default, all notifications for new bookings is switched off. Turn them on by editing the class or event, and ticking the box. If you opt in on a recurring class, you will receive notifications for all classes moving forward.

Click on the class/event in your calendar to edit the details and use the buttons in the top-right to email an invitation for students to book, manually book into students, delete the class or edit the class. Edits made to a Recurring Class will apply to all classes moving forward.

Check out our Calendar & Bookings support area for detailed guides on navigating the calendar, managing bookings and the Bookings Widget.
