One of the major new additions to Martialytics that comes with the Student App, is Chat.

Click on Send and then Chat in the top right:

That’s right, when you receive a message from a student via the app, you’ll now see a notification on the Send tab and on the Chat button.

Here’s the Send Chat interface:

On the left, are the students you’ve engaged with.

The latest messages will be at the top.

The selected Chat will be highlighted in a lighter colour.

In the centre, you’ll see the messages themselves. This is directly between you and the student using the Student App. You can see the history of messages, send new ones and make notes that they can’t see here as well:

At the top of this centre area are three icons.

The clock icon is for snoozing the conversation. This hides the conversation until tomorrow, next week or next month:

The star icon is for setting the conversation as a priority to be answered.

The check or tick icon is for closing the conversation - it’s done.

Type your message in the Reply box and then hit the Send button to send it.

If you want to delete a message, mouseover the message, then hit the ‘trash’ icon to delete it:

The area on the right shows all the pertinent information related to the student, sort of like a mini profile:

You can see the Tags that have been applied, Styles and Rank information and (soon) the Waivers they’ve signed. You can also click to view their full profile.

Just a note - you’re only able to message students that have the App installed.
