Setting Up Your Google Mailbox

This tutorial will guide you through the different steps to configure your Google email provider in Marvin Recruiter.

Part 1: Generate a Google App Password

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com

  2. In the left sidebar menu, click on "Security"

  3. Scroll down to "2-Step Verification"

    • If 2-Step Verification is already enabled, go directly to step 4

    • Otherwise, set it up by configuring your phone number, entering the SMS code you receive, then confirm

  4. Click on "2-Step Verification"

  5. Scroll down to "App passwords" and click the arrow

  6. Enter an "App name" (e.g.: Marvin Recruiter password) and click "Create"

  7. Select and copy the 16-character password that appears

  8. Close the Google tab

Part 2: Connect Your Gmail Account to Marvin Recruiter

  1. Go to app.marvinrecruiter.com

  2. In the top right corner, click on your username, then on "Configuration"

  3. In the left sidebar menu, click on "My account"

  4. Click on "Connect a Gmail/Gsuite/GWorkspace account"

  5. Enter your first and last name in "Full name"

  6. Enter your Gmail address in "User email address"

  7. Paste the password copied in step 7 of Part 1 into the "Password" field

  8. At the bottom of the page, click "Save"
