Setting Up a Microsoft Exchange Account via OVH

You have an email address provided by OVH but use Microsoft Exchange for its tools? The configuration is slightly specific.

Step 1: Find the Server in the OVH Interface

  1. Log in to your OVH account: https://www.ovh.com/manager/

  2. Go to Web Cloud > Emails > Microsoft Exchange

  3. Select your Exchange service

  4. In the General information tab, you will see your Exchange server on the right, in one of two possible forms:

    • pro?.mail.ovh.net (where ? is your server number) → This means you are on a Private Microsoft Exchange plan. Copy this information, then go to ➡️ Step 2.1

    • ex?.mail.ovh.net (where ? is your server number) → This means you are on a Shared OVH Microsoft Exchange plan. Copy this information, then go to ➡️ Step 2.2


Step 2.1: Configure the Connection in Marvin (Private Exchange)

  1. In the top right corner, click on your username then on "Configuration"

  2. In the left sidebar menu, click on "My account"

  3. Click on "Connect an SMTP/IMAP account"

  4. Enter your first and last name in "Full name" — this will be the displayed name

  5. Enter your email address in "User email address"

  6. Enter your email password in "Password"

IMAP Settings:

  1. Server name: pro?.mail.ovh.net (copied in Step 1)

  2. Port: 993

  3. Check the box "Enable SSL"

SMTP Settings:

  1. Server name: pro?.mail.ovh.net (copied in Step 1)

  2. Port: 587

  3. Do not check (or uncheck) the box "Enable SSL"

  4. At the bottom of the page, click "Save"

If an error message appears, try again by checking the "Enable SSL" box in the SMTP Settings section, then click "Save".

If the issue persists, contact us via the chatbot at the bottom right of your Marvin Recruiter window.

If a confirmation message appears, go directly to Step 3.


Step 2.2: Configure the Connection in Marvin (Shared Exchange)

  1. In the top right corner, click on your username then on "Configuration"

  2. In the left sidebar menu, click on "My account"

  3. Click on "Connect an SMTP/IMAP account"

  4. Enter your first and last name in "Full name" — this will be the displayed name

  5. Enter your email address in "User email address"

  6. Enter your email password in "Password"

IMAP Settings:

  1. Server name: ex?.mail.ovh.net (copied in Step 1)

  2. Port: 993

  3. Check the box "Enable SSL"

SMTP Settings:

  1. Server name: ex?.mail.ovh.net (copied in Step 1)

  2. Port: 587

  3. Do not check (or uncheck) the box "Enable SSL"

  4. At the bottom of the page, click "Save"


Step 3: Verify the Connection

To verify the connection, go to a candidate or contact panel and click on the email send icon (orange envelope).

An email drafting panel will open on the right — you're all set! Congratulations, your mailbox is connected!

If the connection is not established, contact us via the chatbot at the bottom right of your Marvin Recruiter window.
