What Marvin Synchronizes
Once your LinkedIn account is connected, Marvin automatically synchronizes messages exchanged with your LinkedIn contacts from the date of connection onwards. These messages appear directly in the timeline of the corresponding candidate and contact profiles.
⚠️ Synchronized messages are visible by all members of your organization who have access to the relevant profiles. There are no "private" messages in the individual sense once they are synchronized in Marvin.
Choosing Not to Synchronize Your Messages
You can disable message import at the time of connection, whether you connect from LinkedIn or from Marvin.
From LinkedIn (via the Marvin extension):
On LinkedIn, click on the "Connect my LinkedIn account with Marvin" button in the extension.
Click on "Advanced options".
Uncheck the "Import messages" box.
Click "Connect".
From Marvin:
Go to Configuration → Integrations → LinkedIn.
Click on "Advanced options".
Uncheck the "Import messages" box.
Click "Connect".
Changing This Setting After Connection
If you are already connected and wish to change this setting, it is not possible to modify it directly. You will need to:
Disconnect your LinkedIn account from Marvin (Configuration → Integrations → LinkedIn).
Reconnect by unchecking (or checking) the "Import messages" box in "Advanced options".
⚠️ Disconnection can only be done from Marvin, not directly from LinkedIn.
Deleting a Specific Message
It is not currently possible to delete an individual message from a candidate profile in Marvin. If this is an important need for you, feel free to let us know via the chatbot.
