Materio’s new Scope Table feature streamlines how you manage and edit your scope of work. Whether you're adjusting pricing inputs, confirming markups, or validating profit margins, this table puts everything at your fingertips for faster, more accurate updates.

🔁 Switching to the Scope Table View

To access the Scope Table:

  1. Navigate to your project’s viewing options button in the scope and select 'Scope table'

This view presents all your scope items—including selections, non-selections, materials, and labor—in a structured, editable table. Note that edits cannot be made in Scope Table view while a project is in Live mode, as this feature does not support change orders yet.

✏️ Inline Editing: Quick and Intuitive

Each row in the table corresponds to a scope item. You'll see estimates and options for each item, and once an option is approved, the estimate disappears, and only the approved values are shown.

A grouping indicator bar shows when estimates and options are part of the same item.

For multi-component options, click the dropdown arrow to expand and edit the individual components.

The primary benefit of the Scope Table is inline editing:

  • Click directly into any editable cell (e.g., markup, tax rate, profit margin).

  • A yellow highlight will appear when changes are made. To save them, click 'Save changes.'

✅ Tip: These are live edits. Any changes you make will be instantly reflected in the underlying scope, clicking 'Save change' will lock them in.

🔍 Filtering for Precision Edits

The Scope Table includes filtering tools to help you focus on specific issues. You can filter by lots of different criteria. For example, you can:

Filter by Vendor

  • Use this to ensure consistent markups.

Filter by Tax Rate

  • Want to validate that all client tax values are at 9.5%?

  • Set the filter to Client Tax ≠ 9.5% → Identify and correct discrepancies.

Filter by Profit Margin

  • Ensure your profit margins are healthy.

And many more!

Materio’s Scope Table transforms your project planning process—centralizing edits, simplifying oversight, and ensuring consistent, accurate data across all scope items.

Once again, since this is an early access feature, Materio encourages your feedback to refine the experience. Share your thoughts and questions in the support chat within your Materio account, or reach out to support@materio.co.

Happy building!
