At Materio, our goal is to help you and your team feel confident, organized, and fully equipped to run your projects efficiently from day one.

1. Complimentary Onboarding Assessment (included for everyone)

After subscribing to Materio, every new firm begins with a 15-minute onboarding assessment. If you missed booking that after subscribing, you can book that here.

This short session helps us understand your goals, team size, and the types of projects you manage so we can recommend the best onboarding path for you.

If your team includes more than one or two people, we typically suggest Paid Onboarding to ensure everyone gets aligned and trained consistently.

2. Self-Service Onboarding (included with all plans)

Perfect for self-starters or solo designers who prefer to learn at their own pace.

You’ll receive access to:

  • The Materio Account Setup Series, where you’ll learn how to:

    • Set up your team, including adding team members, assigning permissions, and establishing billable rates for accurate tracking.

    • Add your clients, including organizing client details and communication so sharing updates and documents is seamless.

    • Build your vendor network by adding vendors, subcontractors, and service providers with automated pricing and purchasing info.

    • See it all connect, by watching how your setup powers automation across selections, the Clipper, and purchase orders.

  • Materio's Getting Started Playlist (20 Videos to walk you through Materio)

  • The Moving through a Project with Materio Series (Coming soon!)

This option helps you get up and running quickly with the tools and workflows that matter most. It can also be used supplementally to paid or personalized training.

3. Personalized Onboarding (included with the Systematize tier and above)

If you’re on our Systematize plan or higher, you’ll receive one personalized 45-minute onboarding session with one of our onboarding specliast.

In this live session, we’ll:

  • Project Setup & Goals: How we structure your project and align on priorities.

  • Design Process Overview: Our step-by-step approach from concept to install.

  • Mood Boards & Selections: How inspiration, materials, and product choices come together.

  • Budget & Approvals: Understanding estimates, decisions, and how you get client sign off on items.

  • Communication & Collaboration: How to comment and stay in the loop.

  • Procurement Overview: What happens once items are approved and ordered.

  • Next Steps – What to expect after onboarding and how we’ll keep projects moving and if a more thorough paid schedule is right for your team

It’s a great balance between structure and flexibility, giving you expert guidance without requiring additional investment.

4. Advanced Paid Onboarding (optional add-on)

For firms looking to customize their Materio setup or onboard a larger team, we offer Advanced Paid Onboarding.

These sessions are highly personalized and are led by an onboarding specialist. To onboard, timing can vary depending on your team's needs and can range anywhere from 8–20 hours, at $150/hour.

Please note, you can book and buy these hourly, and schedule them as needed or plan to invest into more hours from the beginning.

30-Minute Paid Training ($75)

Great for specific workflows or quick questions.

1 hour Paid Training ($150)

Ideal for broader workflows or accumulated questions.

90-Minute Paid Training ($225)

Best for teams with a set agenda of topics to cover

We’ll work side by side to:

  • Understand your firm’s exact workflows

You’ll also receive a dedicated onboarding site with:
