Creating and sending live links and QR codes

Here's how you can send trades a live link with up-to-date information, so they only see what they are responsible for, even without a Materio account. You can also print a QR code with this information for them to post at the job site for easy access.

  1. Navigate to the project you'd like to create a link and/or QR code for. Then go to Share>Create under 'View-only Links'

2. Next, give your link a title, like "plumbing", and choose the categories, locations, and pages that you would like to include in this link. You may find it helpful to make individual links for each team or trade, like a link just for tile, and a link just for painting, so the team working with those materials only sees their segment of the scope. Note that all markers will be visible in a link, but only approved selections will appear, so that the recipients are getting only approved items to avoid confusion.

The link will contain each item's location, name, quantity, status, description, SKU, and any attachments added.

3. To print a QR code from this link, press 'Print QR'. When your link is ready, hit 'Done' at the very bottom. When you go to Share>View-only links>View links now, you will see your links pop up and you can copy the link to share it.
