On your main dashboard, navigate to the dropdown menu at the right of each project card. This is your status menu:
1. Design
Set the project to 'Design' when you're working on proposals and concepts - all the aspects of the design process before any construction labor begins.
2. Construction
You can switch the status to construction when the design phase closes and building begins. If you are on Team Plus, Optimize, Starter, Core, Growth, or Legacy Pro (pre 2025), then you can use the toggle to optionally enable change orders during this phase to track changes to the scope.
3. Close out
This phase is for getting ready to close the project - construction is done, but you're getting your final invoices out, actualizing financials, processing any returns, taking photos, etc.
4. Closed
Select this status when you're all done with the project, or it was terminated for any reason. Materio will prompt you to choose a reason for closing the project, and you can optionally add a note. Once the project is closed, it will move to your archive where you can view at as read-only. Archived projects do not count towards your project limit.
