In Materio, we have the concept of a firm-wide design library. This allows you to create products to be used across your projects. Here are a few things to know when making edits to the design library.

  • Materio makes a copy when you add an item to a new project

Why? Because sometimes you have products that have specific rates (markup and tax) for projects.

  • When you edit an item in the project selections workspace it will not apply to the product in your design library.

Why? Because we want you to have the flexibility to customize the product on each project.

  • If you make an edit in the global library it will not apply to that product on existing projects.

Why? We don't want to override products that are already approved by your clients.
