Materio lets you control how to categorize each transaction that Materio syncs to QuickBooks. This article will teach you how to customize this categorization, also called "mapping to your QuickBooks chart of accounts."
Before you start:
For the best results, work together with your bookkeeper on these steps.
These steps are optional; the integration also works without customizing.
These instructions assume you are already connected to QuickBooks.
Step 1: Go to app.materio.co/quickbooks
You can also get there by choosing "QuickBooks" from your dashboard menu.
Step 2: Click "Manage settings"
This will bring up your QuickBooks account mapping, where you can make changes.
Step 3: Edit your account mapping
Choose which QuickBooks account to use for each type of transaction.
Step 4: Click "Update Accounts"
This will save your changes. (Or, click "Cancel" to exit without saving).
