You will only need to set the scale once, or as you add additional pages with alternative scales.
1. After adding the floor plan, create your first items.
2. Click on the item you would like to add an area, polygon or linear marker for
3. Click on Mark Plans
4. Click on AREA
You will also be asked to set the scale for the first time if you are using polygon or linear.
5. Click on Set Scale
6. Drag the yellow ruler bar to a location where you can measure exactly.
Please note: Currently, plan markers are only measured using the imperial units of measurement in feet and inches and measuring using the metric system is not yet available.
7. Type in the dimension of the plan component you're measuring
8. Click on "Save as project default"
Please note, you can also click "save for this page only" if this page requires a unique scale. If you plan to add additional pages, saving as the default will apply this scale to the new pages as well.
9. Click and drag on the floor plan where you would like to add the marker
10. Enter your waste %, if necessary
11. Click on Save
12. In the case that you need to edit the scale, click the marker
13. Click on Edit
14. Click on Change scale
15. Reset your scale by dragging the ruler and typing in a new dimension
16. Click on Save for this page only
Alternatively, you can re-set the scale for the entire project
17. Click on Save
18. If needed, click on Yes, Update the Estimate
This will allow you to edit the estimated quantity in the scale has changed.
