In a Materio project you can explore what a potential client might see before inviting them and you can also always view what an existing client with certain permissions can see. In this article we will go over both of those.
To ensure you know exactly what your client will see in the project, you can preview the client's view before sending an invitation by following these steps:
1. Navigate to the project and click on "Share" in the top right corner
2. Click on "View portal"
Here you can "view as" a client and test out different permissions so that you can see what your client will see when they view the project with various permission settings. Then you can click the "Invite client" button and set the permissions you think are best. Follow these steps for the smoothest experience:
Simplify navigation: Ensure clients only engage with relevant materials for approval.
Test thoroughly: Confirm permissions and views are accurate before sharing any updates.
Once the client is in your project, you can also click on their name to view the project as they do:
Click "people" at the top right of your project screen
Click the three dots next to their name
Click "View as..."
Materio will then show you a summary of that client's permission settings
If you need to edit their permissions, you can do so by clicking on the client's name>"Edit permissions".
Click the Pricing visibility pencil icon to adjust the pricing viewing options you assign your client
Next, you can adjust the client's collaboration settings by clicking the edit symbol on the collaboration settings row.
This section will enable you to edit how your client will be able to collaborate on this project, such as viewing attachments, viewing product sources, or viewing the project timeline.
The last permission settings is around notification. You can edit your client's notification settings but expanding this section.
