If you have a specific target price in mind for a product in Materio, you can easily calculate the markup percentage using Materio's built-in markup calculator feature. This step-by-step guide will walk you through setting the markup percentage based on your desired target client price.

1. To begin, navigate to the product you want to set the markup percentage in your selections workspace. Click on the product to open its details.

2. Within the product details page, locate the "Edit" button and click on it. This will allow you to make changes/edit to the product information.

3. Scroll down to find the "Estimate" section within the product details. Here, you will find options related to cost and markup percentage. Click the edit icon on the far right of the "estimated item cost" line.

4. In the markup percentage section, look for a red calculator icon. Click on it to access the calculator tool.

5. Within the markup calculator, enter the target price you want your client to pay for the product. For example, let's assume the target price is $600.

6. After entering the target price, the markup percentage will be automatically calculated based on your input.

7. Click "Save Changes" to save the markup percentage for the product.

8. Then, you can apply the changes to the product library if you want this applied for future use across projects, or you can choose "update this item only" if you just want this reflected in this project.

*Note: When applying changes to the library, it will never override any details of products already added to existing projects.
