In Scenario Mode, you can try different scope scenarios by temporarily hiding and revealing line items to visually present alternative budget paths.

  1. Click on the gear icon in the settings menu to access Scenario Mode.

Click on "Gear" symbol

2. Click on "Enter Scenario Mode"

Click on "Enter Scenario Mode"

Your scope of work will have a blue banner at the top while in Scenario mode. You can click exit at any time.

  1. To hide an item, click on the "Eye" symbol. Use the grey eye icon to temporarily exclude an item, which helps to analyze its budget impact without altering the original project data.

When the item is hidden, the cost will be eliminated from your grand total.

To turn off an item, click on the "Eye" symbol

4. To see how hiding items has impacted the budget, look at the category totals as well as the grand total at the bottom of your project scope.

5. To unhide the item, click the crossed out "orange eye" symbol

This will turn the item back on and add the price to the category and project total again.

6. To leave scenario mode, click on "exit"

All items turned off in scenario mode will remain off after exiting.

Scenario mode gives you a non-committal way to experiment with different project scenarios, helping you make informed decisions and present different budget options to your clients or team. It also helps prevent accidental deletion of scope items while allowing you to toggle between high or low-budget paths seamlessly.
