In Materio you can create tasks and assign them to a teammate, keep track of your own tasks and manage their status, and set due dates to make sure these tasks are being completed and your project is moving forward. In this article, we walk you through how task management works in Materio.
1. In the top right corner of your main dashboard you'll see "My Open Tasks"
2. You can add a new task to your personal task list
3. Click on "Save"
4. Next, you'll need to assign the task to a specific project or to your company.
5. You can set a due date for the task by clicking the calendar symbol to the right of the task
6. Choose the due date
7. You can reassign the task to a teammate by clicking the "three-dot" symbol to the far right of the task
8. Click on "Reassign."
9. Then choose the teammate you'd like to assign the task to
10. You can get a more comprehensive view of your company's tasks by clicking on "See everyone's"
11. In this view you can update the tasks' status or edit the task. Let's say we want to delete this task so we'll click the "pencil" symbol
12. Then click the "trashcan" symbol to delete
13. To update the task's status, click the open circle at the bottom right of the task card.
14. Click on the desired status, for example, "In progress."
16. To drill down into individual team members tasks, you can filter this view by team member
17. You can also filter by project
Notes on tasking in Materio:
Tasks in Materio are shared tasks and can be accessed and assigned to anyone within the organization and are visible to the entire team.
Clients do not see tasks.
Planned tasks (from timelines) that are within the current date range will appear on your or other team members' dashboard task list.
