In order for Materio to sync to QuickBooks seamlessly, there are a few settings you should update QuickBooks-side. Our recommended settings will prevent QuickBooks from making unexpected changes to the information that Materio syncs over.
First, log in to your QuickBooks account.
Then, on your QuickBooks settings page, update the following settings:
Sales / Sales form content / Custom transaction numbers: Turn OFF
Advanced / Accounting / Close the books: Turn OFF (or set far in the past)
Advanced / Automation / Automatically apply credits: Turn OFF
Advanced / Automation / Automatically apply bill payments: Turn OFF
If you plan to sync Purchase Orders, update the following settings:
Expenses / Purchase orders / Use purchase orders: Turn ON
Expenses / Purchase orders / Custom transaction numbers: Turn OFF
Lastly, if you plan to collect sales tax through Materio invoices:
On the QuickBooks tax page, make sure that sales tax is enabled
