In this article, we walk through how to create a QR code that you can put on a job site so that your subs can access entire plans for a specific category of work on the go. It will show you information that you can include in your view-only links and QR codes.
First, you'll create some scope for a cabinetry plan for a project:
Next, you'll go to the top right corner click the "share" dropdown menu in the top right corner, scroll down to the bottom, and click "view only links":
Now you can create a new link. First, "new link" and then specify which category of work and locations you'd like to see on the QR code. In this example, we'll choose "cabinetry" in all "locations"
Then give the link a name and click "save":
Now you can access the QR code that you can send to a sub or team member! Or you can attach the QR code at a job site so that your team members can access information regarding the specific category of work they are working on.
They'll see their relevant plan markers on the plan pages:
And they can click on an item to see a more detailed view of the item.
QR codes are a great way to ensure you and your field teams are staying connected, and are flexible so they can be tailored to one specific area of work in the project.
