1. Click on the tab Library. You are now presented with a page containing all the content on Magma Math.

2. Go to your book. In the top right corner, click on My Book.

3. Add problem. To add a question/problem, begin by clicking on + New problem in the top right hand corner. You will now be presented with a form, shown below. The following instructions will help you fill out the form, step by step.

  • Add image (not mandatory). If you would like the problem to include an image, click Add image. You can remove or edit if you change your mind.

  • Problem description (mandatory). This is where you fill out the description of your problem, e.g. '4+8'.

  • Choose level (mandatory). You have to choose a level for your problem (Mild, Medium, or Spicy). The reason for this is to make it easier for you to find the problem when making assignments.

Add answer:

  • Numeric: The answer can't include spaces, and you'll get help on how to formulate the answer, for example, if you want it to be a fraction, if you want to add units, etc.

  • Algebra: You can include spaces and text in the answer. You'll get help adding different mathematical symbols, for example, the square root of.

  • Multiple choice: You add the different answer alternatives in the different boxes, then check the box with the right answer. You can include text in the alternatives.

4. Save! When you are satisfied with the problem, press Save. If a required field has not been filled out you will be notified about this and it needs to be corrected before the problem is stored in your section.

Once the problem is created you will find it below the section where you chose to create it. If, for any reason, you wish to edit or delete the problem you can do that by clicking on the dots next to that problem.
