Housing Financial Assistance Resources:
CNHA Host Housing Support Program - $350/person, up to $1500/household
FEMA - up to 18 months of rental assistance, but you must find your own housing
Makai High Needs - direct-aid form (for those falling through the cracks in the system/ kūpuna, those with health challenges, multi-generational households, those who lost family members etc.)
Individual Financial Support Resources:
Hale Makua Maui Disaster Relief Fund - up to $5,000 - currently closed
FEMA Vehicle ONA program - $16,000 max for one vehicle
FEMA - up to $41k per household for contents and potentially $41K for ONA (though rare)
Makai high needs - direct-aid form (open for highest needs)
Business & Nonprofit Resources:
Maui Small Business Recovery Grant Program (by U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and American Express) - helps provide 100 businesses with $5,000 grants and business coaching to help them rebuild and grow their business, deadline May 1, 2024
Maui Business Bridge Grants - $1,000 to $20,000
Maui Economic Opportunity - microloans ranging from $5,000 to $25,000
Hawai‘i People’s Fund Urgent Action grants - up to $5,000

Alzheimer's Association - Hawaii's Maui Caregiver Respite Assistance Program - Up to $2,500 per family for caregiving services
User Specific Grants:
UVSC Financial Assistance Program for those fighting cancer
AVMF Disaster Grants for veterinarians impacted by disasters or veterinarians/students who are providing care to animals impacted by disasters. - Up to $5,000. Deadline: 9 months following the disaster.
