Travel Times

  • Departure and Route:

    • Departure times are estimated based on road, weather, and travel conditions and are subject to change.

    • Routes to Italy may pass through France, Germany, and Switzerland at the discretion of the coach company.

  • Scheduled Stops:

    • Drivers will stop regularly as required by law.

    • Ensure your group has sufficient currency for snacks and meals, as these are not included in your trip cost.

Ferries & Crossing the Channel

Check-In and Border Controls:

  • Check-in is typically required one hour before sailing or two hours during peak periods (e.g., February half-term, Easter).

  • Post-Brexit, expect more extensive border checks, including biometrics and photos.

Provisional Crossing Times:

  • Max Ski will inform you of provisional departure and crossing times.

  • Peak demand may mean your preferred crossing is unavailable despite advance requests.

Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

Coach Breakdown:

  • In the event of a breakdown, the coach driver will contact their company in the UK for instructions.

  • Quick repairs will be prioritized; a replacement coach will be arranged only if necessary.

Unexpected Events:

  • Weather, natural disasters, industrial action, or air traffic control issues may disrupt travel.

  • The Max Ski team will work diligently to resolve issues and get your journey back on track.

  • Examples of our past experience include successfully repatriating groups during the Icelandic ash cloud crisis and managing disruptions caused by industrial disputes.

Our Commitment:

While such events are rare, our experienced team is dedicated to ensuring your trip is as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

Please remain patient as we work on solutions during unforeseen circumstances.
