Immediate Action:
Take appropriate action with the injured or ill passenger
Contact the insurance company immediately.
Many private clinics will require proof of insurance before providing treatment.
Information Required by the Insurance Company:
Policy reference number. (Found on your SLIC page)
A contact telephone number.
Location of the hospital/clinic and the treating doctor's phone number.
Name, address, usual GP, and age of the patient.
Details of the booked travel arrangements. (Found on your SLIC page)
Description of the medical problem.
Supervisory Responsibility:
A supervisory adult must stay with the hospitalised child if they cannot travel with the group.
Max Ski representatives cannot fulfil this role.
Making a Claim:
Receipts and Documentation:
Keep all receipts for medical fees, prescriptions, and other expenses. Claims cannot be processed without these.
Lost or Stolen Property:
Obtain police reports immediately for lost or stolen items.
If items are lost/stolen in transit, complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with the airline before leaving the airport.
Notify Insurance:
Inform the insurance company of a claim as soon as possible and no later than 31 days after your return.
