When businesses have multiple related entities, sometimes one entity (let’s call this Entity A) will pay a bill on behalf of another (Entity B). Or perhaps Entity A will receive income which was actually earned by Entity B. When this situation occurs within a multi-entity business, it can be difficult for finance teams to match the payments or income to their corresponding bills or invoices - a process called bank reconciliation. Finance teams usually have to search through their group to find the bills or invoices to which the transactions pertain, like finding a needle in a haystack.
With BRAG (bank rec across the group), finance teams are able to reconcile transactions that pertain to other entities’ bills and invoices within their existing Xero bank reconciliation page, so that multi-player bank rec is now equally as straightforward as the standard bank rec that we all know and love.
