Selecting the right photos to upload is very important.

The adherence to the guidelines of the input photos will determine how good the generated photos will be.

β˜€οΈ Good lighting for sharp, clear face features

Get as sharp, clear and high resolution photos as possible so that it can learn your face features as best as possible. This usually means providing photos taken with good lighting (outdoor most of the time).

πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ DO NOT upload a series of shots taken in the same context.

Similar photos taken in the same context, with the same background, lighting and clothing doesn't allow to really understand how the face blends into the environment and understand what makes it unique.

🏞️ Variety of background, clothing, lighting and pose is important

Provide a variety of scenes: poses, clothings, outfits. This allows to really distinguish the intrinsic details and features of your face and not the context-related details of a given picture.

😎 DO NOT upload photos with sunglasses, AirPods, hats

Accessories hides parts of your face and get associated with your face while learning your face features.

πŸ“ Make sure there is enough margins around your face

Provide photos taken from a few feet away so that your face is not distorted by the camera lens (which occurs on close camera selfies). For the app to do the best crop of the pictures, it is best to provide a picture with sufficient margins around the face.

🫑 Make sure your face is straight and facing forward (with eyes open)

πŸͺžAvoid selfies in front of a glass
