It is not recommended to fully discharge a lithium-ion battery. Car manufacturers build a buffer into the battery to protect it and extend its life. Depending on the model, this buffer varies between 5 and 30% of the total capacity. This means that, in principle, you can never fully discharge an electric car's battery.
