Mounted Filtered Showerhead Assembly (Cleaning)

If you notice reduced water pressure from your showerhead, it may simply be due to mineral buildup from hard water. Over time, minerals and soap residue can collect around the small openings in the showerhead face plate and restrict the water flow.

To clean it, first disassemble the showerhead and remove the steel filter face plate and body, as shown in the video below.

Soak the filter plate in white vinegar, or a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, for approximately 2 to 4 hours. This will help loosen and dissolve any mineral buildup.

After soaking, gently scrub the small openings with an old toothbrush to remove any remaining residue or buildup.

Once finished, rinse the filter plate thoroughly with clean water, then reassemble the showerhead as shown in the video below.

For the best performance, we also recommend replacing the internal filter cartridge approximately every 3 months. Depending on the hardness of your water and how frequently the showerhead is used, you may need to replace it a little sooner.
