Abandoned Cart Emails

Boost your online order success rate by sending emails to customers when they leave products in their cart beyond a specified amount of time

Updated over 5 months ago

When a customer forgets to complete their order, automatically send them a nudge after a specific period of time.

Abandoned cart emails boost conversion rates when customers visit your menu. Start sending them for free with just one click here.

Abandoned cart email below contain the following:

  • Your branding, subject line, reply email address

  • Product(s) the customer last had in their cart

  • A button that links to the cart (with those products in it - any products that are now unavailable will be automatically removed from the cart)

    • When the customer clicks the link, that is counted towards the "click through rate" in the dashboard (opens divided by total emails sent).

    • When a customer completes the order, that is counted towards the order rate on the dashboard (orders divided by total emails sent).

Abandoned carts dashboard

See how many carts have been abandoned, how many emails have been sent, and how many of those emails lead to cart views and orders.

The abandoned carts dashboard tracks and displays the following information for a rolling 3 day period:

  • The number of carts abandoned by signed in customers.

  • The number of emails sent to those customers.

    • Note: An email won't be sent if the customer doesn't have an email in their profile, if they are opted out, or if they received an email already within the last 24 hours.

  • The percent of links clicked in emails that were sent.

  • The percent of emails sent where the customer clicked the link then ordered.

Settings

The following settings can be customized for abandoned cart emails:

  • How quickly carts are marked abandoned: do you want to email your customers an hour after they leave their cart? Or a day later? Set that here.

  • The start and end times emails are sent (for example between 8AM and 10 PM)

  • Customize the email subject line, preview and reply email (used when customers reply) to make it your own and tailor your customer's experience.

NOTE

  • Customers will only receive one email per 24 hours and can opt out by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
