How Do We Calculate Organic Data with Paid Activity and Match Boosted Content Across Platforms?
When an ad shares the same post ID as an organic post, we link the paid data to it on our side. This allows us to calculate either organic or total metrics, based on the data each platform provides.
Here’s how it works:
Platforms Providing Total Data:
For platforms that provide total engagement (organic + paid) by default, we calculate organic metrics by subtracting paid data from the total.Platforms Providing Organic Data:
For platforms that provide organic engagement by default, we calculate total metrics by adding paid data to the organic metrics.
This approach ensures that boosted or promoted content metrics are accurately matched and calculated across different platforms, providing a clear view of both organic and paid performance.
