Why Doesn’t the Follower Count Change When I Use Filters?

When you apply filters in Measure Studio—like date ranges, tags, or specific content types—you might notice that your account follower count stays the same. That’s because the follower count shown is a lifetime total, not tied to any specific date or filter.

If you want to understand how your audience is growing over time, we recommend using the Follower Growth metric instead. It breaks down how many followers you gained (or lost) within the timeframe you’ve selected—so you can analyze trends and growth patterns more accurately.

Quick recap:

  • Account Followers = Total lifetime count (doesn’t change with filters)

  • Follower Growth = Net change over time (filterable by date range)

Use both together to get a complete picture of your audience size and how it’s evolving
