Measure Studio’s public data feature gives you access to valuable insights from Instagram accounts—no login credentials needed. While data is limited to what’s publicly available, you can still analyze key performance metrics like post frequency, engagement rates, and content types. This article breaks down the types of data you’ll be able to view from any public Instagram account.

Reel Metrics

For Instagram Reels, you’ll be able to access the following public metrics:

  • Total Views – The number of times the Reel has been viewed

  • Engagement Rate (based on views) – Number of engagements per view or play for the selected date range. Includes organic + paid activity.

  • Total Engagements – The combined number of likes, comments, and shares

  • Total Likes – The number of likes on the Reel

  • Total Comments – The number of comments the Reel received

  • Total Shares – The number of times the Reel was shared

Photo/Carousel Metrics

For Instagram photo posts, you’ll have access to the following public metrics:

  • Total Engagements – The combined number of likes, comments, and shares

  • Total Likes – The number of likes on the photo

  • Total Comments – The number of comments the photo received

  • Total Shares – The number of times the photo was shared

Note: Metrics for Instagram Stories are not currently supported.
