Starting November 15, 2025, Meta will replace several legacy Facebook metrics with new view-based metrics. This FAQ covers what’s changing, how it affects your data, and what steps you may need to take in Measure Studio.
What is changing and when?
On November 15, 2025, Facebook’s Page Likes, Impressions, and Reach metrics (and all their sub-types) will stop updating. At the same time, Facebook will begin supporting new view-based metrics—Views Total, Organic, Paid, Followers, and Non-Followers.
Will I still have access to the old metrics?
Yes. Historical data for deprecated metrics will remain accessible in Measure Studio, though no new updates will occur. These metrics will appear as “Deprecated,” and any custom metrics using them will be flagged.
How far back does data for the new Views metrics go?
At the page/account level, daily historical data is available back to August 8, 2024. Post-level Views data will have Lifetime totals then will update daily going forward.
What happens to custom metrics and dashboards that use deprecated metrics?
Custom metrics referencing deprecated metrics will be flagged in Measure Studio.
Does this update affect other platforms?
No. This update only applies to Facebook.
Do I need to take any action?
While no immediate action is required, we suggest:
Reviewing dashboards and reports for deprecated metrics.
Ensuring your team is aware of the changes.
Who can I contact if I need help?
