Create Faster Reports with Export Templates

Learn how to save and reuse Export Templates to create reports faster and keep reporting consistent across your team.

Written by Nicole Soria

Export Templates allow you to save and reuse custom export configurations, making it faster to generate recurring reports. Templates are shared across your team and are available for Custom Exports only.

How to Create a Template from a Dashboard

Navigate to the dashboard and click Export > Custom Export.

Select the account, account group, or platform you would like to export.

Choose the metrics to include in your export and click Continue.

Select Save as Template. Enter a name for the template and click Save.

How to Create a Template From the Post List

Navigate to the Post List and click Export > Custom Export.

Select the metrics to include in your export and click Continue.

Select Save as Template. Enter a name for the template and click Save.

Applying a template

From either the Dashboard or Post List, click Export > Custom Export.

For Dashboard selection, select the platform, account, or account group you would like to export.

Open the Template dropdown and select the desired template.

Review and adjust the selected metrics as needed. Click Download Data to complete the export.

Templates are scoped — a template created from a dashboard export will only appear when exporting from the same account, account group, or platform it was made for.

Managing templates

Go to Exports → Manage Templates to view, and delete saved templates. Only the creator or account owner can delete a template.

FAQ

Can I edit an existing template?
No. Export templates cannot be edited after they have been saved. To make changes, delete the existing template and create a new one with your updated metric selections.

Can I create multiple templates?
Yes. You can create and save multiple templates to support different reporting needs. We recommend using clear, descriptive names—such as Monthly Reach Report or Branded Content Metrics—to make templates easier to identify and manage.
