Connect Measure Studio to Cursor

Measure Studio runs over MCP (Model Context Protocol), so you can pull your social analytics straight into Cursor and ask about performance in plain language instead of exporting data or digging through dashboards.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Measure Studio account, logged in

  • Cursor installed and signed in

The connection uses your Measure Studio login, so Cursor sees exactly what you'd see in the app. If you can only edit reports you authored, that's still true inside Cursor.

Set it up

  1. Open Settings → Features → MCP.

  2. Click + Add New MCP Server.

  3. Name it "Measure Studio", set the type to SSE, and paste in this URL: https://app.measure.studio/mcp

  4. Click Save. A green dot means you're connected.

That's it. No API keys, no exports. Tools are available automatically in Agent mode in Composer.

What to ask

Once connected, ask Cursor about your accounts the way you'd ask a teammate, right in Composer's Agent mode:

  • "What were my top 5 Instagram posts last month by reach?"

  • "How does my TikTok engagement rate compare to my benchmark?"

  • "Build a slide comparing engagement on YouTube vs. TikTok in Q1."

  • "Give me a summary of our social performance this month for a client email."

For sharper answers, name the platform, give an exact date range, and say which metric you want. "How did my posts do recently?" leaves Cursor guessing; "How did my Instagram Reels perform May 1-31, 2026 on reach?" doesn't.

What it can and can't do

Cursor can read post and account metrics, benchmarks, groups, and historical trends, and it can create report slides on your behalf. It can't post content, change account settings, or touch billing.

Authentication runs on OAuth 2.1 with PKCE: Measure Studio never shares your credentials with Cursor, only a token scoped to your account. You can revoke access anytime from your Measure Studio account settings.

If something's not working

  • Can't connect: double check the URL is exactly https://app.measure.studio/mcp, no trailing slash, and the type is set to SSE.

  • Authorization fails: confirm you're logged into Measure Studio in your browser first, then try saving the server again from Settings → Features → MCP.

  • No data comes back: check that the connected account you authorized with actually has recent data.

  • Data looks stale: check Settings → Connected Accounts for the last sync time; LinkedIn data can lag up to 48 hours.

Still stuck? Remove the Measure Studio server from Settings → Features → MCP and set it up again following the steps above.
