Why is my TikTok post not showing?

Why a TikTok post might be missing in the Posts page.

Written by Nicole Soria

If you can't find a TikTok post in your Posts page, or its data has stopped updating, the post is likely unavailable in TikTok's own API.

This usually happens when the post's sound is removed due to a copyright claim or another violation. According to TikTok, "If a video is not returned in the response, the reason is likely to be that the video has been filtered out due to violations, such as music copyright violation."

When TikTok filters a post out of its API, Measure Studio can't retrieve it. That means:

  • The post won't show up in your dashboards or reports

  • Existing data for that post stops updating

  • This isn't a bug in Measure Studio: the post is unavailable at the source

To resolve, check the post directly on TikTok to confirm whether the sound was removed or the post was flagged. If the sound was removed, TikTok may prompt the creator to swap in a licensed sound to restore the post. Once TikTok restores the post to its API, Measure Studio picks it back up automatically.

If there are no violations on the post and it's still missing, reach out to our support team at support@measure.studio for further assistance.
