Custom metrics are a unique tool that allows you to measure specifically what you're looking for without native platform limitations and eliminating the painful process of manually monitoring, calculating, and exporting metrics totals.

How to create a custom metric

To create a custom metric, click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner, then select Manage Custom Metrics from the menu.

Here you can find all your custom metrics organized in a clear, easy-to-read list. To create a new metric, simply select 'Add Metric'.

The Add Metric pop-up will appear. Start by giving your metric a name, then add a short description to explain what it tracks.

You can choose the numeric format—percentage, monetary, or numeric. Then, select the data type you're pulling from—either post-level or account-level.

Next, choose the platform for which you'd like to create a custom metric. You can also combine metrics from different platforms to build a cross-platform metric.

Choose the metrics you’d like to include in your formula, then apply actions such as dividing, adding, or subtracting to define how the metric is calculated. Once finished, click Save metric.

Your custom metric is now available! Add account-level metrics to your dashboard, or view post-level metrics directly in the post view.
