Custom metrics are a unique tool that allows you to measure specifically what you're looking for without native platform limitations and eliminating the painful process of manually monitoring, calculating, and exporting metrics totals.
Custom Metrics
To create a custom metric, click on the drop down menu from your name in the upper right corner and select 'Manage Custom Metrics'.
Here you can find all your custom metrics organized in a clear, easy-to-read list. To create a new metric, simply select 'Add Metric'.
A side screen will appear. Start by naming the metric you want to customize, then provide a description
You can also choose the numeric format—percentage, monetary, or numeric. Then, select the data type you're pulling from—either post-level or account-level.
Next, choose the platform for which you'd like to create a custom metric. You can also combine metrics from different platforms to build a cross-platform metric.
Now, select the metrics you'd like to include in your formula. You can choose actions like dividing, adding, subtracting, etc., to define how each metric will be used. Once you've created your desired metric, click 'Save metric'.
