Starting to use MediaMarkt Cloud on your computer requires you to complete two easy steps:
1. Download and install the MediaMarkt Cloud application on your computer
To start automatic backup Backup and/or Sync on your computer, you need to download and install the desktop application. The only way to get automatic backup of your computer is to install the desktop application.

Make sure to read and follow each step in the installation closely, so that you set up MediaMarkt Cloud in the way that suits your needs the best.
2. Select folders for Backup and Sync
During the installation process you can either select folders to backup yourself, or let the application select for you. The application will automatically select the most common folders to backup, so it is not necessary to select folders yourself.
You can always add and remove folders later.
When installing MediaMarkt Cloud on your computer you will get a special folder called the Sync folder. The Sync folder mirrors its content both TO AND FROM MediaMarkt Cloud. Synchronization is instant and continuous. This means that the Sync folder you find on your computer, in the mobile app, and on web, share the same content.
Folders inside the sync folder can be shared with your friends and colleagues. When they join the folder, all of its content will be synchronized to their computers. Everyone who shares the folder can make changes that are synchronized to all other members instantly.
The same folder cannot be added to both Backup and Sync, you will have to choose which system you use for each folder. To read more about the difference between Sync and Backup, click here.
