What is the Health Score?
The Health Score is one of Huma Health Shield’s modules. This digital biomarker is a validated health metric that combines multiple different parameters listed below to provide you with an overall score of your general health. The various domains which contribute to the algorithm have been carefully selected through scientific review and multiple workshops with key experts around the world in the field of epidemiology, public health, cardiology, neuroscience and others. The final algorithm has been tested against data from the UK Biobank.
The Health Score is made up of:
Cardiovascular health
Sleep
Body measurements
Cognitive function
Cigarette smoking & Alcohol
Self-rated health
Your employer cannot see your answers to these questions or your score as this is fully anonymised. Each category contributes to your final score, using a scale from 0-100. Your score is further broken down into these different categories which have been specifically selected for their modifiable nature, meaning that by making certain lifestyle changes, you can improve your score and as a result your overall health. It is a tool to empower you to understand the factors which contribute to your wellbeing and make appropriate changes. This is not a medical assessment and does not replace a visit to your doctor.
What is the COVID-19 Severity Risk Score?
The COVID-19 Severity Risk Score is a tool which provides you with information about your individual risk of developing complications from COVID-19 should you contract the illness. The COVID-19 Severity Risk Score is calculated by an evidence-based model developed from published clinical research. The model was created by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.
The COVID-19 Severity Risk Score is not a COVID-19 diagnostic tool and does not replace diagnosis or treatment. It helps you understand the potential risk you may have of developing severe illness if you contract COVID-19 and provides sign-posting to what steps you should take to reduce this risk. This advice is based on WHO and government guidelines.
What is the COVID-19 Awareness Training?
The COVID-19 training module provides important information about precautions and prevention associated with the virus. This training is not mandatory, but it is useful to educate yourself on how to best look after yourself and others in the workplace. Each section ends with a quick question on the subjects presented, but this is not graded and only acts as a reference for yourself. Your employer cannot see your answers or any other data you provide in the app.
What is the Daily Check-in?
The Daily Check-in is a question to assess your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Based on your answer, the app will provide you with advice on next steps you could take.
In addition, you have the option to update other entries, such as temperature, resting heart rate, resting breathing rate, and oxygen saturation. This is optional but useful in order to self-track how these change over time. Remember, because we don’t share your personal or medical data with anyone, no doctor or medical professional will see this data. It is purely to help you self-track your health
