Get help with common issues experienced while using the Clinician Desktop app

How do I know if GDm-Health has been properly loaded?

On navigating to the GDm-Health platform in your browser, you will be presented with a login page. Please enter your username and password. You will also be asked to select a location. After this point you will see a list of your patients. If this does not happen then please contact your IT service desk. Please note, there is no maintenance or calibration needed for the safe use of this software.


What are the minimum technical requirements of GDm-Health?

The application requires an internet connection and the website will work on the following browsers: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer version 11, Mozilla Firefox. IT security measures; Huma enforces Role Based Access Control (RBAC) as part of the offering. This ensures that the clinician can only perform the actions granted by the role privileges. Roles include GDm Clinician, GDm Administrator, GDm Super Clinician.


How long does it take to create a new patient record?

In tests undertaken internally by the development team using realistic data it takes between 1 and 3 minutes to create a new patient record. In clinic situations the elapsed time may be greater due to questions from the patient.


How long does it take to locate a patient?

You can search for a patient using the search function in the top right-hand corner. You must enter at least 3 characters to perform a search. The search will only run on the view you have open- current or closed records, and location. You may need to switch your view to find the patient you are looking for.


Can GDm-Health provide a patient diagnosis?

GDm-Health is not a diagnostic tool and cannot provide a patient diagnosis. However, information displayed through the GDm-Health platform may inform diagnostic decisions that are ultimately the sole responsibility of the qualified physician using the platform.


Does GDm-Health store any patient sensitive data?

GDm-Health stores patient demographic data and blood glucose readings. This data is stored in a separate location for each Trust and can only be accessed by authorised Trust users. Huma employees will only be able to access this data in specific and authorised scenarios as detailed in the company’s BMS.


Who do I contact if I have any problems with the use of GDm-Health?

If you have problems using GDm-Health, you should contact our Support Team who are able to assist you troubleshoot any issues you encounter at support.diabetes@huma.com or via the live chat feature.


What reporting functionality is available with GDm-Health?

At go-live the reporting will take the form of a downloadable copy of all patient records for each Trust. Clinicians will be able to use this download to quickly calculate key items of data e.g. number of GDM patients treated in a specified time period. Clinicians will also be able to use the data to produce more complex bespoke reports in programs such as Excel.
